Duen Neka’hen Sacchi

(Argentina | 1948)

Duen Neka’hen Sacchi lives and works in Argentina, on the banks of the Río de la Plata. He is a writer and artist who developed skills and knowledge in sculpture, weaving, oral transmission of thoughts, community, and ancestral politics. His work focuses on the relationship between fiction, document, and trans-corporeality from an anti-colonial perspective. He uses writing, drawing, and sculpture to challenge Western hegemonic narratives while at the same time valuing and giving new meaning to the community artistic and cultural practices of his origin.
